RAINBOWS

If I could catch a rainbow
I would do it just for you.
And share with you it's beauty
On the days you're feeling blue.
If I could build a mountain
You could call your very own.
A place to find serenity
A place to be alone.
If I could take your troubles
I would toss them in the sea.
But all these things I'm finding
are impossible for me,
I cannot build a mountain
Or catch a rainbow fair

Everyone needs a friend now and again. Whether it is just someone to wile away some time with, or someone to enjoy an afternoon picnic with or someone to confide in, we all need someone.. Almost everyone has friends of varying depths, but the last category, forever friends, are indeed a special breed. Always there when you need them, always willing to listen, always willing to help, no matter the cost. These very special friends are always the first to forgive, the first to applaud, the first to praise, and the very last to leave.. They laugh with you, they cry with you, they share your pain while holding you close to shield you from the same.. This they do with unselfish abandon.. The only reward they ever seek, is the smile on your face that says you will be fine..

I felt pretty lucky to have the friends that I had, but the power of the internet has greatly expanded my wealth. I have met so many wonderful people from the far reaches of the world, and from down the street.. While all my friends are indeed precious to me and not forgotten, these poem and page will share with you those that have special meaning to me..
